Paul's Mission Strategy: “Preached Among the Gentiles”. Why should some hear the Gospel 1,000 times, while others have not heard it even once?
The greatest injustice in God's church today is that too little is being done among the unreached peoples of the world. Only 5 percent of the funds allocated to missions are for the unreached. India is the world's largest mission field. It is the most populous country in the world with nearly 1.5 billion people. Of these, about 90 percent are unreached with the Gospel.
On a global scale, about three out of eight billion people in the world are unreached. It is not easy to send missionaries to places where one must be willing to open new paths and take the lead when resistance comes.
That is where we at Jesus Heals Ministries are in an advanced position. In India, we have a Bible school with 2,000 students. We also have a 12-month literacy school with 1,600 students. We have 76 evangelists who build around 120 churches within 15 months. We have about 2,370 churches with just as many pastors under our umbrella. The members here number around 300,000.
In addition, we have so far built 25 wells for the caste-less. They provide clean water to 100,000 poor people. Thus, we help to give them better health. We have Indian leaders who are skilled in mission and strategy in their country and know their language and culture. Paul says that in his time, the Gospel was “preached among the Gentiles”. We must follow this up. All mission organizations need money. Imagine if there was a more equitable distribution of funds so that more than 5 percent went to reach the unreached—and less to those who have already heard the Gospel 1,000 times before. “To the ends of the earth”, Jesus said. The prophet Isaiah, the evangelist among the prophets in the OT, said the same: “That my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth” (Isaiah 49:6, NKJV). Welcome aboard!
