The strongest spiritual state a Christian can have is to be dead to oneself and completely stripped and humbled before God's throne. As Jesus says – the grain of wheat must die to give life:

"Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain."

John 12:24 (NKJV)

God cannot reveal His will and impart His great power to people who have "antibodies" within them, carnality – something in us that doesn't match God's nature.

To experience God's power in its deepest form is to become like Jesus. That means starting from zero. Jesus said: "For without Me you can do nothing." (John 15:5) NOTHING.

In such a state, everything we need must come from Him. There is no room for ego's pride and boasting. Jesus alone is the key to spiritual success. Paul describes it thus: "But by the grace of God I am what I am." (1 Cor 15:10) He has understood what spiritual success is: When God is everything – and we are nothing.

God begins where we end. The sooner we stop relying on ourselves, the quicker God can start using us. Admitting that one is not succeeding in the spiritual realm can be the beginning of great spiritual success. Not just once, but often we need to start anew. For we humans are so prone to fall back into "old sins."

Paul says:

"I die daily."

1 Cor 15:31

"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."

Gal 2:20

This is the recipe for great spiritual victories in our time. Let us immediately begin to implement them in our lives, little by little.

"Christ in you, the hope of glory."

Col 1:27
