↑ FRIENDS: After many years as friends on Facebook, we finally met in Oslo.
Dibya is the leader of a large foundation that helps thousands in several of India's many states. Here, Jesus Heals Ministries has a leading position. We are involved on all fronts.
Dibya is no ordinary person. He is highly educated with, among other things, three master's degrees in theology and administration – as well as law. In 2008, we met on Facebook. But it wasn't until a few years ago that we got in closer contact. On Friday, July 18, 2015, we met at Oslo Central Station. It was a meeting I will never forget. Pastor and church leader Dibya spoke about his own foundation and the new foundation that Jesus Heals Ministries and his foundation jointly established on November 30, 2023: PATH INSTITUTE. It was then approved by India's top authorities.
The board consists of Dibya, his brother, and brother-in-law. His brother-in-law is himself the principal of another Bible school in India and holds a doctorate in theology from an American university. A great team! I am the leader of the international department of PATH INSTITUTE. The entire mission project in India is under the umbrella of Jesus Heals Ministries.
Dibya has 24 employees. Together with them, he helps people out of poverty by providing knowledge about agriculture, carpentry, electrical installations, candle production for sale, cosmetics, etc. Dibya also has a computer school with two employees for those in need of computer education. It is also a subject at the Bible school. But first and foremost, Dibya is an entrepreneur, principal, major mission leader, and pastor in his own congregation.

↑ INTO SERVICE: One of 76 classes at the Bible school. After the students are finished with their exams, 70% of them go into service as pastors and evangelists in India.
PATH INSTITUTE – India's largest Bible school
Through the foundation PATH INSTITUTE we run various social initiatives to help the poor.
One of the most important parts of our engagement in India is our large Bible school with the same name: PATH INSTITUTE. It is India's largest Bible school with 2000 students, spread across 76 locations. Currently, one can take up to two years of Bible school here. After school, the students go out in India to spread the gospel! Some of my books have been translated into English and Hindi and are used as textbooks at the institute.
Principal Dibya and Jesus Heals Ministries also run a 15-month school for evangelists. The last class had 76 students. Theory and practice go hand in hand. During their schooling, they lead hundreds of people to salvation and establish many new congregations. From September this year, the school for evangelists will be expanded. Dibya will start seven centers with 35–40 evangelists at each center. The school will last for 16 months. Here, too, theory and practice will go hand in hand, leading people to salvation and establishing new congregations.
School for Illiterates
A year ago Dibya, and we at Jesus Heals Ministries started a school for illiterates with over 1500 students. In India, there are around 280 million illiterates! The need for more schools is enormous! This is something the authorities are fully aware of. We have approval from the authorities to have a school for illiterates. From November, the plan is to increase the number of students to an astounding 4500, spread across 150 locations. The students not only learn to write, read, and do arithmetic but also hear the gospel! Many are saved through the school project.

↑ VEGETARIAN: We agreed to meet at a restaurant at Central Station in Oslo. Dibya chose vegetarian food.
Under our foundation there are 2370 congregations in India with around 300,000 members. All are established under Dibya's foundation and the umbrella of Jesus Heals Ministries. It is a groundbreaking project to be part of. Christian leaders in India operate in a country with significant persecution of Christians. Why do Hindus persecute Christians? Because the leaders believe that Christianity represents Western culture where the caste system is forbidden. Who would want to be downgraded from a high caste with significant economic and social benefits to being on par with ordinary people with few or no privileges? In India, 3 to 5 percent of the population are born-again Christians.
India – the world's largest mission field
Amidst all this the gospel is advancing in the world's most populous country, soon to be 1.5 billion people. Nearly 90 percent have heard little or nothing about Jesus. India is therefore the world's largest mission field. Why should anyone hear the gospel 1000 times while over three billion people on earth have barely heard it once? Therefore, we aim to raise funds for the unreached. Only 5 percent of all mission funds go to this group. Would you like to join us? Contact us. Help us with the school and mission project in India. We need YOUR help to achieve these enormous projects.
Please consider a donation to our missionary project.
Thank you for the visit to Norway, pastor, entrepreneur, mission leader, and principal Dibya! It was worth the trip, as it was an eye-opener for me and all our Norwegian mission enthusiasts!
Here are pastor Dibya's last words to me: “Whatever we do, we do it to ensure the success of our nation in development.”
