↑ THE TIME IS HERE: “Look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest.”
According to Jesus, all Christians should be interested in missions. He said: “Lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest.” The time of harvest has come. Do not let it pass you by! Jesus came to the world with a great mission from the Father:
“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Luke 19:10
Before He ascended to heaven, He passed the baton to us. Are we willing to take it? He gave us the Great Commission:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations.”
Matthew 28:19
It is important to talk about mission projects, to know what can be achieved. But the danger is that we so often delay doing what is most important: Preach the gospel to the whole world. The world consists of millions of individuals. These are the ones Jesus asks us to find, discover – LOOK for.
Do not wait for others to get started, initiate your small projects as far as you can, or connect with those who are already underway. Or you can start supporting mission projects that show great results. Your money can help save thousands of people! Jesus’ words are a wake-up call: We must learn to look away from less important things, things that steal time and focus from the most important thing: Winning people for God. Jesus asks us to change our focus:
“LIFT up your eyes and LOOK at the fields, for they are already white for harvest.”
John 4:35
SEE people! SEE the great spiritual need! Many are waiting for us to preach the gospel to them. If we truly believe in an eternal hell with eternal torment, why are we so silent? We must ask God to remove traditional lenses and incorrect focus, often influenced by materialism and secular thinking.
Fill your pockets with salvation tracts, ask God for the power of the Spirit and begin to see the people around you as potential citizens of heaven. The time for harvest has come! Do not let the opportunities pass by. Jesus was conscious of His call: “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work,” said Jesus. (John 9:4) Today you can try to connect with new people. They are waiting for you!
