↑ WAS SHY: I want to encourage all Christians to go out with the gospel. Initially, I was very shy, but I experience that God is with me and that He gives boldness when I ask for it.
Alisa Midtrød from Alversund helps to bring the gospel to people on the streets in Bergen and the surrounding area. There, she meets people who are very open to the message!
I was saved in February 2004. My friend Randi had become 70% blind in her right eye, and doctors could not heal her eye. She went to a healing meeting in Sandane with Svein-Magne Pedersen. I was not a Christian, but I joined the trip. At the meeting, Svein-Magne prayed for her eye. He also prayed for healing from pelvic loosening that she had suffered from for 5 years. The pelvis was instantly healed.
When we returned to the hotel, she noticed an improvement in her vision. The next morning, she saw perfectly. The healing was documented by an eye specialist in Bergen. I came to believe in Jesus after witnessing the powerful miracles that happened. Later, my friend was also healed when Svein-Magne prayed for flatfoot that she had had all her life. I am a witness to these healings.
We who have experienced salvation are witnesses that God exists. We have experiences with God that we can share with others. Jesus says: “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Svein-Magne has some very fine tracts that describe how one can receive Jesus. I hand out tracts, share my testimony, and pray for those who wish for intercession. If people are open to it, I ask them if they want to receive Jesus.

↑ PEOPLE: Alisa does not keep Jesus to herself but willingly shares the gospel at every opportunity.
Some time ago, I was able to pray for healing for two people. Both felt warmth, and one said he felt better in his back. I asked if he wanted to receive Jesus. He wanted to think about it and took a tract with him. I testified to, among others, two sailors from Spain, a couple from Tunisia, a taxi driver of African origin, and two young Syrian men. One had a Muslim background and the other was Kurdish. The Kurd translated for the other. I asked if they wanted to pray with me, that they too should experience strong things with God. They gladly agreed. They would read the tracts when they got home.
A young Christian man wondered how I go about making contact with people. I explained a bit, and he joined a small evangelism round. I got to talk with several people, including a group of five young people. They accepted tracts and listened to the testimony. Two young students desired intercession for exam preparation and exams.
I want to encourage all Christians to go out with the gospel. Initially, I was very shy, but I experienced that God is with me and that he gives courage when I pray for it. You gain experience along the way and learn not to take it personally if someone does not want to listen. I find evangelizing very rewarding.
My husband says I come home beaming when I have been out witnessing about Jesus.
