Here is an overview of our mission work in India.
Orphanage
Since 2001, MJL has supported orphanages in and around the city of Hyderabad run by the MaranthaVisvasa mission.
TV Broadcasts
From 2010 to 2013, we aired our TV program "The Miracle is Yours" to 48 countries in Asia. The TV station was located in the metropolis of Chennai.
Two Orphanages
From 2012 to 2016, MJL built two orphanages for orphaned children in a city in Orissa and in the city of Chennai. Here, many hundreds of children lived that we helped rescue from prostitution, donations, and slavery in factories.
Well Construction
Since 2015, MJL has built 25 wells among the outcasts in India. So far, it has provided clean water to over 100,000 poor people there. We continue to build as we can afford it.
Bible School
On November 30, 2023, we received approval for foundation and Bible school from the Indian school authorities – PATH Institute. Here, 2000 students attend, in 75 locations. It offers courses from one to three years. The main center for the Bible school is located in Raipur in the state of Chiattisgarh. We rent buildings for accommodation and classrooms for 34 students here.
Evangelism
A group of 76 mature Christians receives training in evangelism and church planting. They also receive training to pass on what they have learned to others. The goal is to build 120 new churches within 15 months. This will continue year after year.
School for the Literacy
There are around 287 million illiterates in India. We want to address this issue. 50 substitute teachers have been trained to teach subjects like reading, writing, and arithmetic. Around 1600 students have been enrolled. They live in 50 different places. Most of them here are unsaved. We expect that nearly all will come to be saved. The school lasts 12 months. It is planned to continue this offering in the coming years.
Mini Bible School – Pass It On
Plan for the future is to select six preachers, each finding ten mature Christians who will receive training in Christianity's ABCs and evangelism. There will be a total of 60 students. This program will last for three months. There will then be four such programs each year. The snowball begins to roll: Each of these ten students then finds ten mature Christians inspired for mission work. They pass on what they themselves have learned to ten new ones. The student number then comes to 600! This will continue. This was also Paul’s vision:
"The things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also."
