The Jesus Heals Ministries Society (MJL) is a free foundation with a Christian profile. It was approved by the county governor of Vest-Agder on April 6, 1990. The main purpose is mission and evangelism on an interdenominational basis. Salvation and prayer for the sick are two of the main purposes.
MJL was started by Solveig and Svein-Magne Pedersen and Bjørn Grunnvåg. The foundation has a board, accountant, and auditor who ensure that the foundation complies with the Foundation Act.
The foundation's publication is called Legedom. The first issue was published in December 1990. In 1991, Svein-Magne started the publishing house Legedom. Here he publishes his books. To date, he has written 21 books, most of them on healing through prayer. Svein-Magne has created two Bible courses, one on Christianity and salvation (“The Way Forward”) and one on healing (“The Nazareth School”). On December 2, 2008, the foundation moved into its own center in Vennesla with a meeting hall, prayer room, dining hall, vestibule, 15 offices, storage, and a large, modern TV studio.
Canadian Foundation. On July 21, 1994, Solveig and Svein-Magne started the foundation Jesus Heals Ministries in British Columbia, Canada. Svein-Magne was a pastor in two Canadian congregations in the years 1982–1988. The entire Pedersen family became Canadian citizens. Therefore, Solveig and Svein-Magne have Canada close to their hearts. The goal of the Canadian foundation was to call missionaries from Norway to Canada to minister among the indigenous and white populations. From 1997 to 2017, MJL supported an indigenous Pentecostal congregation in British Columbia.
TV broadcasts. In 2005, MJL started producing its own TV programs, which are now broadcast over Norway, Canada, Africa, and all of Asia, and for a few years also Europe. Many thousands have declared that they have been saved through these programs. We broadcast our programs on the world's largest satellites covering approximately 130 countries.
Mission in the world's largest country – India. Svein-Magne has become acquainted with skilled Christian leaders from India and Africa. Together with Indian leaders, MJL initiated a collaboration with them to spread the gospel in India with its 1.4 billion people. The country is the world's largest mission field where 90 percent of the population has not heard the gospel. On November 30, 2023, they started a large Bible school with 2,000 students, lasting from one to three years. A decentralized Bible school with 75 teachers in 75 locations. PATH INSTITUTE it was called. The Bible school was approved by the Indian school authorities on November 30, 2023. The fact that such a thing could happen was a miracle. The leading Hindu party aims to make the country a place for only Hindus and wants to put a stop to all Christian activities in the country.
Wells for the outcasts. In 2015, MJL started building wells among the poorest, India's outcasts. Women usually walk many kilometers to find water, and the water they find is polluted by animals and humans. To date, MJL has built 25 wells where over 100,000 have received clean water, thus avoiding illness and death. The need is great and many ask MJL for help to get a well in their village. Many new ones are in the queue. The foundation's supporters have contributed to this important project. Such an act of love makes it easier for people to receive Jesus. On each well is engraved: “Jesus Heals Ministries.” Then the residents know that it was not Hindus or Muslims, but Christians who have provided them with clean water.
School for illiterates. In India, there are 287 million illiterates. In November 2024, Indian leaders started a school for illiterates. Here there are 1,600 students, distributed across 50 different villages and with 50 teachers. The school lasts for 12 months. Here students learn to write, read, and do arithmetic. And then they hear about the gospel. We believe that most here will be saved. Both the PATH INSTITUTE Bible school and the school for illiterates are under MJL's umbrella. A total of 3,600 students! After one year at school, new students come on board at both schools – and with at least as many students!
Evangelist School: 76 evangelists are attending a 15-month evangelism course. Here theory and practice go hand in hand. The school aims to establish at least 120 new congregations each year.
MJL conducts evangelism in Africa, with the center in the country Benin, with an African evangelist leading the work. From here, the TV program "The Miracle is Yours" is dubbed into French and broadcast on the world's largest satellite to all of Africa (1.4 billion, 54 countries). From Lahore in Pakistan, TV programs are broadcast via satellite to all of Asia every day of the week. Each year around 13,000 people declare that they have been saved by watching the programs broadcasted by the TV company across Asia's approximately 70 countries. In total, our satellites cover nearly 130 countries where, in total, six billion people live. 13,000 responses of salvation: Statistically, this means that thousands are saved without contacting the main office in Pakistan. The programs are dubbed and have English subtitles.

One of the workers translates some of Svein-Magne's books from Norwegian to English. Every Sunday, the TV program "The Miracle is Yours" is broadcast over Canada, with English subtitles. Thousands watch the program and many contact MJL employees there.
