Kari (68) has experienced great miracles through prayer:
"My back pain disappeared instantly, and my daughter's 50 warts were gone the next morning"

↑ Healed through prayer: After several decades of back problems, Kari experienced an immediate healing during intercession. “The pain disappeared instantly, and I could move freely again!”
First, we want to present who Kari is.
She shares that she had childhood faith from an early age, but then she encountered Jesus while studying agronomy at Tomb Agricultural School. She had planned to continue her studies at NMBU (Norwegian University of Life Sciences), but Jesus wanted otherwise.
Her Life’s Work: Ås Respite Home
“When I became a Christian at 22, I received the calling to become a nurse. That was the last thing I could imagine myself becoming,” says the 68-year-old.
She followed the calling, in order to help the sick and those who are hurting. She graduated as a nurse in 1982 and secured a position in the public sector, where she worked for several years.
“Already in my first practical training, I was thrown into encounters with the dying. It was then that the calling from God was released,” she shared back when I, as a journalist for the newspaper Norge IDAG, interviewed her about her life’s work at Ås Respite Home.
Many Were Saved
She took over there in 1984, and purchased the place in 1994. She worked with people struggling with addiction and mental health issues. Above a doorway there, it said in large letters, “Jesus is Lord.” She owned and operated the respite home until the summer of 2023. The place became a proclamation of exactly that—“Jesus is Lord”— because many residents had powerful encounters with Jesus and were saved. She says she stopped because she had retired and wanted to focus on her next life’s work.

Solheimen Conference Hotel
– Now I run Solheimen Conference Hotel, which is located in the beautiful village of Hedalen in southern Valdres, right next to Hedalen Stave Church. For 40 years, the hotel has been a place of rest, recreation, and new inspiration for many people. The vision for our business is still to be an oasis, available for people who wish to come together for fellowship with an emphasis on spiritual values, but also for groups who wish to celebrate anniversaries, memorial services, and use our conference facilities for courses and meeting activities, she explains. Prayer and healing are in focus there. On March 21–23, Dennis Greenidge, evangelist and senior pastor of World Wide Mission Fellowship London, is coming. Some years ago, he was declared dead, but then God intervened and raised him up.
– We must place greater focus in our preaching on prayer and healing. It is easily neglected and is difficult in our secularised age, says Kari, and reminds us that large parts of Jesus’ ministry were healing.
– I became instantly pain-free
She therefore wishes to testify about the time she experienced the power of Jesus and was instantly and immediately healed and free from the pain that had severely limited her in her profession as a nurse. She says that the problems with her back started long before she began working in the healthcare sector.
– Even though we had learned to lift correctly, it is easy to do it wrong. It is a profession where one is highly exposed to wear-and-tear injuries. I very often had a sore back. It hindered me a lot in my job as a nurse.
It is now exactly 20 years since she was prayed for by Svein-Magne Pedersen at the Pentecostal Church Salen in Ski.

On Saturday, March 29, at 5 p.m., he will speak there. This is the congregation of Kari Skoklefald and her husband Lars Samuelsen (former lecturer in mathematics and physics at the University of Ås and at Ås High School). She says that it marks 20 years of being healthy and that “now the circle is complete.”
– At that time, I was so ill that I could barely get out of bed. There were points in my back where the pain stabbed like knives.
– Did you have an X-ray of your back? What did your doctor say about the back pain?
– No, I didn’t have an X-ray and I don’t go to the doctor much. I thought that they were normal wear-and-tear injuries and that it might get better on its own, she answers.
Could Figure Skate Again
But she did not. Kari was really sick when she, 20 years ago, “just was going to stop by the meeting for a moment.” There, she was prayed for by Svein-Magne Pedersen.
“As he put his hand on my back, I felt a warmth spread. I was instantly and immediately healed. Have never experienced anything so powerful. I could bend down and place both palms on the floor. And I could go figure skating again. I had not been able to do that for many years.”
She says that there were many in her circle of friends who noticed and commented that she was free from her back pain.
“Since then, my back has been completely fine, and I have never had pain there again,” says Kari.
50 Warts Disappeared Overnight
Then there was another miracle she has experienced in her life. It happened when her daughter, Henriette Bochmann Selasky, was 13 years old. She had over 50 warts on her hands. She tried to keep it hidden to avoid being bullied.
“She played the piano and it bothered her a lot. She was embarrassed by how her hands looked.”
The girl’s grandmother, Bjørg Skoklefald, has often been in contact with Svein-Magne Pedersen on the phone, and she asked for prayer for her granddaughter. Pedersen sent her an anointing cloth. The grandmother stroked it over the granddaughter’s hands.
“The next morning, all 50 warts were gone! There was no sign that she had ever had warts on her hands!” Kari Skoklefald says. Both she and her daughter testify to the miracles they have experienced and want to proclaim healing through prayer.
