20 years ago, the girl was born at St. Olavs Hospital in Trondheim. Her father was a doctor and is now a specialist in general medicine. He listened to the heartbeat and felt something was wrong with the heart.
The father got a cardiologist at the well-known hospital to examine her heart. She listened but concluded that the heart was completely fine. But the father did not trust the result.
Crisis
A week later, the parents took the child to Orkdal Hospital. A pediatrician there listened to the heart. He immediately determined that the child had a severe heart defect and needed immediate surgery. The child could die at any moment. The next day, the newborn was hurriedly flown by air ambulance to Rikshospitalet in Oslo.
The child was operated on. The surgery was successful so far. But it was only a half victory. As the child grew, it would need new heart surgeries.
The parents were Christians and had heard about my healing ministry. They knew their child would face serious heart problems later in life.
Prayer
Now they wanted to try prayer. The child's mother and grandmother took her to my office in Vennesla, Norway. There, I laid my hands over the heart and prayed for a miracle. I recalled Jesus' words:
