↑ CLEAN WATER IN SIVA COLONY: The residents of Siva Colony have gained access to clean water through the new well from Jesus Heals Ministries. The well is 213 meters deep and was completed on October 25, 2026.
It never ends. In the world’s largest country, India, there is a constant cry for clean water. The government shows little involvement in building wells for the poor, outcast people of the country. But we do in Jesus Heals Ministries!
One of Jesus Heals Ministries’ many mission branches is well-building. We have been doing this since 2015. A few months ago, we set up well no. 26 in the well-known town of Katakopa Konda in the state of Andhra Pradesh. At times, 5,000 to 10,000 people come here every day to visit a famous Hindu temple. Once a year, during a religious festival for Hindu gods (Maha Shivaratri), two million visitors come to Katakopa Konda! They need water. They can now get it from the newly installed well there. It was built in the spring of 2026. It was a strategically right place to set up the well! A metal sign with the name “Jesus Heals Ministries” on the well wall will tell everyone that Christians have built the well.
Yet the cry is great from a village five kilometers away: Siva Colony in the Kothur district. During a major religious festival day during the year (Maha Shivaratri), 100,000 people can come to the village. Clean water then becomes crucial. The people in Siva Colony have reached out to our evangelist Timothi and asked if Jesus Heals Ministries could build a well for them as well. Timothi writes:
“The people here in the town are very, very poor. Some work at a stone-crushing plant nearby. Here they work around 10 hours a day. The wage is from $2.50 to $4 a day. Not everyone can afford to buy water. Three times a week, the municipality fills water into a specific ditch in the village so that farmers can fetch water for their fields from here. This is where the women come to draw water. In the ditch, there are chemicals, dead snakes, frogs, and other garbage. This is where the poor women fetch their water to cook food for their families.”

In the village of Siva Colony, there is a church, Glory Church. The church has 30–40 members. It is Pastor Paul from the church in the neighboring town of Katakopa Konda who cares for this congregation.
Timothi recently visited the church and told the members there that their prayers would soon be answered: Jesus Heals Ministries in Norway will build a well in the town. There was great joy among the members! Now they will not have to drink contaminated water that makes them sick and, at worst, can lead to death. And then it happened: On Sunday, October 25, the well was completed, right by Glory Church. The drilling crew had to drill 213 meters down before they found water.
Almost everyone in the village is Hindu. A metal sign has been placed on the well with Jesus Heals Ministries’ name: “Jesus Heals Ministries.” It will help open hearts to the gospel. Evangelist Timothi will make regular visits to distribute my salvation tract and pray for the people in the village. Now we must continue to raise funds from our generous supporters for a new well in India. But right now, the people in Siva Colony say: “Thank you so much for the well, mission friends in Norway!”
