Corps leader Britt Levine Lundin (right) and partner Ann Irene Havaas have worked hard to arrange a meeting with me in my childhood town of Narvik.
They are both surprised by how many visitors came from the districts far outside Narvik. I preached the way to salvation and healing to the many who attended. A family of four came all the way from Karlsøy municipality, and another family of four came all the way from Kautokeino!! Otherwise, many came from the districts around Narvik.

↑ FOUR HAPPY FRIENDS: They came all the way from Karlsøy municipality. From left: Helfrid Rekkenes, Herdis Kristiansen, Inger Lise Kvalvik, and Sigurd André Pettersen.
I testified and told of God’s power for healing and salvation. The miracle stories took up a lot of space during the sermon, which is in short supply in our preaching. Why has Norway not been saved after having Christianity in our country for a thousand years? We have not realized that people want to see and experience the truth before they grasp it.
Many raised their hands to indicate that they had been saved. And several rejoiced over a better state of health after prayer.

I would love to return to Narvik. The whole hall raised their hands when I asked them, “Do you want me back in Narvik?” I came to an almost packed hall that participated through all seven to eight hours that the meeting lasted, before the lights were turned off in the newly renovated church. The Salvation Army bought the building from the Baptist Church in the city some years ago. In this building, I was both saved and received the evangelist calling. Here I was also baptized on September 12, 1965. Finally back after 60 years!

↑ ALL THE WAY FROM KAUTOKEINO: These three wonderful Finnmarkers came all the way from Kautokeino to participate in the healing meeting in Narvik. From left: Iver J. Sara, Marit Aune I. Sara, and Anne Marie Siri.
People could buy food and drinks in the dining hall on the floor below. Thanks to the diligent and rock-solid leaders in the Salvation Army corps in Narvik! And thanks to the brilliant singers and musicians who came from Harstad to share music and song of the highest quality.
