JESUS atoned for all the sins of the world “once and for all,” so that God can have a legal basis to forgive us our sins. He who was without sin was made sin for us. Our sin is not merely hidden, but removed from heaven’s register of sins.
God can therefore free us from guilt.
God can therefore free us from the condemnation of sin.
God can therefore free us from a bad conscience.
God can therefore free us from the shame of sin.
God can therefore free us from the fear of dying, for by Jesus’ blood the power of death has been broken and the door to heaven has been opened.

God will give us a new, heavenly body thanks to the power of the Cross, for Jesus’ resurrection was the result of a finished work on the Cross. The same promise applies to all believers.
