In the year 2020, I was diagnosed with cancer in my left lung. “This is serious, and we cannot get rid of it,” the doctor said.

I took this with great calm. Later, they got the results of the tests, which showed that it was large-cell cancer, something very few people have.

It was then treated with medicine.

New Case of Cancer

In 2025, I noticed some numbness in my hand and tongue. A doctor was contacted, and I was taken by ambulance to the hospital for a check-up.

There they performed an MRI of my head. I was called into the doctor’s office: 

“We have found 10 tumors on your brain. This must be treated immediately. We have contacted Haukeland Hospital for radiation, but you must stay here for a few days to take medicine before radiation. This is very serious.”

I understood the situation I had ended up in. I still had the same peace that this would go well, but if I was sent to Haukeland Hospital for radiation, they would have to radiate the whole brain. This would affect my entire brain function.

During the waiting time for radiation, the chief physician came into my room and sat down in the chair. “We do not know what to do; we do not see this in a positive light.”

I understood what he meant, and said that back home we used to say, “I do not see problems, only solutions.” “Those were good words,” the doctor said. We will go with that, we agreed, and shook hands.

“I Have Only One Hope”
