We who have God's Word and the Holy Spirit within should have better faith, hope, life, and confession than the non-believers.
As believers, we should not think and act in the ways of the world. When we hear news of a virus, we rely on the world's medicines and rush to get a shot. The doctors get rich from our fear of illness, often spurred by the media.
We lose faith in the promises of the Bible and forget that we live in the new covenant with amazing promises from the power of the gospel. Better promises than those in the old covenant.
“Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not dim, nor his natural vigor diminished.”
Deuteronomy 34:7
And this was in the old covenant with weaker promises than in the new. Do we dare to believe in a health promise from the Bible? “The Lord will take away from you all sickness.” (Deuteronomy 7:15) Let us confess our faith in all areas of life, a life “in the Spirit” (Romans 8:9), in a different dimension than those who do not have the Spirit and God's life and power within. If Moses in the old covenant lived until he was 120 years old, why shouldn’t we be able to in the new covenant? It is “a better covenant, which was established on better promises.” (Hebrews 8:6)
Jesus' atoning death on the cross and His victorious resurrection pave a new way to God's throne of grace than before Jesus came, with GREATER and STRONGER promises than the time under the law, before Jesus' coming. We now have inherited rights to all God's promises! (Romans 8:17) I aim for a long life. It can be long if I believe it and confess it under all circumstances. And it will work under “the good confession” (1 Timothy 6:12).
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”
Romans 8:2
A new life, a new confession, a new hope, a new faith. I am not against medicines if they can help. Good medicines have often been a great help to many. Medicines are indeed part of God's creation. But – a believer should first go to God with their illness, for He calls Himself: “I am the Lord who heals you.” He “is” – present tense, your and my doctor all the time – 24 hours! BELIEVE it and CONFESS it at least ten times a day! God's Word and promises are God's medicine:
“He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”
Psalm 107:20
It is possible to live in good health all the time. Live a life in the Spirit, in the light, and in confession – then God's healing power works on you all the time.
God does not promise “partial healing,” but FULL! For He said: “It is finished!” Confess it at least ten times a day! It can keep sickness away from you. Israel went around Jericho 13 times in prayer. When they shouted out the confession, the victory shout, it happened – and the walls were demolished!
