When Israel flirted with sin, God left them and the enemy took over. But as soon as they repented, they prevailed.

This is a simple theology with great results. Today we should ask ourselves: Is there anything in my life that I need to repent from? Are sinful tendencies establishing themselves in my thoughts and mind? The Bible speaks of “the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11, NKJV). He does not beat the big drum and announce that he is weaving a net around us or weakening spiritual defenses within us.

When we spend time with God in prayer and in His Word, the Holy Spirit will show us where we need to make corrections. With God, we shall more than conquer, for He has the armor we need “to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” (Ephesians 6:13, NKJV).

We do not go in our own strength, for then we would lose, but in the power of the Spirit. Through His power we shall be able to break through in Norway, for Satan is an enemy who has already suffered a shameful defeat through Jesus' victory on the cross over sin, sickness, and death. Remind him of this, and he will walk away ashamed from you!
