The judge Gideon asked God's angel:

"And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about?"

Judges 6:13

In our time, church leaders ask about entirely different things. "How large is the church building?" "How are the singers and musicians?" "How big is the salary?" Few ask like Gideon: "And where are all His miracles?" Why? Because of a lack of faith in the God of miracles. As Paul says:

"Having a form of godliness but denying its power."

2 Timothy 3:5

We need to repent from the spirit of unbelief as it affects many people through secularism, rationalism, formalism, materialism, and liberal theology. We must seek God as the God of miracles and nurture and accelerate this spiritual dimension of the gospel in our congregations. It won't come by itself!

With the help of 300 men, Gideon defeated the tens of thousands of Midianites. He believed that the God of miracles would be with him in battle. God had commanded him to go. Therefore, he won the war.

If God could use Gideon, He can also use you and me. He only asks for a willing heart. The rest almost takes care of itself.
