“I was going to kill myself”

I was at one point suicidal and severely depressed. I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment building in Oslo. It has 13 floors. I felt that God had abandoned me and had plans to jump off the roof of the 13th floor of my apartment building. Not long ago, I called Svein-Magne and told him that I was suicidal. He encouraged me and gave me a verse from the Bible:

“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.”

Psalm 118:17

In the magazine Legedom, I found the number for the prayer hotline. Here, Svein-Magne preaches about salvation and healing. I called it three times. This led to me losing the desire to take my own life. I am 73 years old and glad that I listened to what Svein-Magne told me, and the message from the prayer hotline. It saved my life.
