Jesus Heals Ministries' large mission work in India is running smoothly. A course in evangelism and church planting was completed on the 3rd and 4th of June this year. Here there was a graduation for 76 new evangelists.

Jesus Heals Ministries has successful mission work underway in India. We probably have India’s largest Bible school with 2,000 students spread across 76 locations. We also have a 12-month school for illiterates spread across 50 locations. Here there are 1,600 students. The plan is to increase to 4,500 students! There are 278 million illiterates in India, so the challenges are great. The students learn to write, read, and do arithmetic. In addition, they receive education in Christianity. Around half of the non-Christian students are saved during the course.

Course with a clear objective

At the 15-month evangelism course in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh, there have been 76 students, spread across two locations. Theory and practice have gone hand in hand. During the course, students have been able to lead 612 to salvation and have gained many hundreds of new contacts. They have also started 96 new churches. The course consisted of five modules with a few days of teaching in connection with each module. Then three months of practice:

  1. The Bible’s teaching on evangelism.

  2. How to make people disciples.

  3. What it means to be a member of a church.

  4. How disciples can become leaders.

  5. Multiplication – how leaders can train new leaders, pass it on, start new churches, etc.

Principal Dibya has been the leader of the course. He himself has helped to set up the course. Several other teachers have been involved in the teaching. On the 3rd and 4th of June, 76 students experienced a well-organized school graduation with the awarding of diplomas to the students. See the pictures.

Continuing forward

Soon a new evangelism course will start. The plan is to increase the offer from 76 evangelists to at least 400, spread across 40 locations! We need a lot of prayer for the projects in India! The vision is to reach unreached people groups with the gospel.

Principal Dibya has a great team of many leaders with different tasks. His foundation is responsible for this large and well-organized work – in collaboration with our newly started foundation, PATH Institute, approved by the Indian state. Internationally, all work there is under Jesus Heals Ministries' mission umbrella for India. And Dibya and all the leaders in India greatly appreciate this. Without support from Jesus Heals Ministries' supporters, this would not have been possible. Thank you for your support of Jesus Heals Ministries!

Under Jesus Heals Ministries' umbrella for India, there are about 2,370 congregations (and just as many pastors) with 300,000 members. God has given us an incredibly large entry into India! You, as our support partner, are part of this. The pictures don’t lie.

Thank you for your mission support!
