There comes a harvest
The result of the harvest depends on how much we sow. Paul says:
"He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully."
2 Cor 9:6
Paul uses this picture in connection with giving financial support to the work of God's kingdom. This is one of the laws of sowing and reaping.
This law also applies to missionary work. To grow and have revival, we must share the gospel with as many people as possible. We must "sow beside all waters," as we often say.
"Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who free the ox and the donkey."
Isa 32:20
"Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. Give a portion to seven, yes, to eight, for you do not know what disaster may come upon the earth."
Eccl 11:1–2
The thought probably comes from grain sales that took place at the harbors of the time. Sharing your testimony with others can yield great fruits. The Samaritan woman was saved when she met Jesus. They met at a well outside a city in Samaria. He revealed her life and told her that he was the Messiah. The shocked woman went into the city and told about her encounter with Jesus. People came out to him. Many from the city were saved "because of the woman's word when she testified: He told me all that I ever did." (John 4:39)
Our personal testimony is the strongest weapon we have in our missionary work at home and abroad. No one can disprove what you have experienced. Every morning we should ask God for opportunities to talk to at least one person about salvation.
Extend "the spiritual antennas" and expect God to lead you rightly today. Expect God to use you and look for people who come your way! Bring anointing oil tracts that can be helpful to connect with people. It also gives you an opportunity to pass on a message that the person can take with them for further study.
I once spoke at a meeting in Porsgrunn, Norway. Solveig was with me. We stayed at a hotel there in the city. When we checked out of the hotel, I gave my anointing oil tract to the woman behind the counter. I smiled at her and said, "This tells you how you can get in contact with God." She politely accepted the tract. Several years later, a woman came up to me just before a meeting I was at in Vennesla. She said, "I know about a woman who sat at the counter at the hotel where you stayed when you visited Porsgrunn. You had given her a tract. She was saved by reading it."
The key is: Be a witness wherever you go. "Sow beside all waters."
