We all need Jesus as a shepherd. Sheep go astray without a leader:

"There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death."

Prov 14:12

Jesus says:

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep."

John 9:11

Such a leader should we all have.

Jesus has all the qualities that a safe and reliable leader should have. He has proven it by His flawless life, His death, and victorious resurrection. None above, none beside! Let Him lead you today. 

The four gospels contain everything about Him. My theology is totally bound to His teaching, life, and the practice of what He taught. He was God in flesh and blood.

"I and My Father are one," He said. (John 10:30)

"I am the Son of God," He also said. (John 10:36)

Jesus is a "copy" of His Father:

"...who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power."

Heb 1:3

The world is held together by Jesus' word (Col 1:17). It cannot "fall apart," for Jesus' powerful word keeps the earth and all creation in place.

Such a shepherd do we all need. The sheep which have gone astray, He seeks out.

"For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."

Luke 19:10
