Jesus says to Peter: “Do you love Me? … Feed My sheep.” (John 21:19 NKJV) If I have been touched by Jesus's “agape love” (the self-sacrificing love that gives without expecting anything in return), I can serve people in the best way possible. I can love them even if they see me as a “doormat.” This was how Jesus was. The secret to being a disciple of Jesus is to surrender to Him every day and follow Him.

Today, we should first give our hearts to Jesus through prayer and be filled with His love and power. Then we can give ourselves unconditionally to people in need. Then we are on the right path and will please God. Then the Lord will be with us in what we do, and the fruits of our labor will become visible.
