The terminally ill King Hezekiah prays to God to live longer:
Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, saying, "Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
2 Kings 20:2–3 (See also Isaiah 38:1–5.)
Testimony
Gambling Addiction
Our son suffered from a gambling addiction. He was completely dependent on computer games and did not want to work. Day and night, he sat in front of the PC and played. This led to him having to quit the university where he was studying. Something had to be done. Therefore, I called you, and you prayed that he would be freed from the gambling addiction and instead find a job. Shortly thereafter, he found a job and quit the gambling madness. It was God's power that delivered him from this addiction. For three years he was bound—now he is free. It has been one year since he was healed.
Healed of Cataracts
I had cataracts in both eyes. My vision had become poor. When I went to renew my driver's license in January 2007, the doctor found out that my vision was too poor. Therefore, I couldn't renew my driver's license. The doctor applied for surgery for my eyes. In the meantime, you came to Varangerbotn once in May 2007. There, you preached God's word and prayed for the sick. You also prayed for my cataracts. After this, I began to see better. After a month, my vision had become completely good. I got an appointment with the doctor. Imagine, I could read all the letters on the chart, even the smallest letters I could see! The doctor canceled the surgery and gave me my driver's license back.
