Nearly Blind – Regained Sight

In 2007, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. My blood sugar levels once rose to 27. I had to stop eating cakes and other sweets. My vision grew worse and worse. Eventually, I was left with only marginal sight. During this time, I worked at a factory in Sandnes that makes screws, among other things. Good vision was required here. At the factory, I used to make screws on a lathe. As my vision had deteriorated so much, I couldn't do that anymore. The factory gave me a job as a cleaner instead.

In February 2013, I called you for prayer for my diabetes and my vision. My eyes burned, and tears started to run. “Something is happening,” I thought. After three weeks, I could see completely clearly. My general practitioner was surprised at what had happened. In March 2013, he sent me to an eye specialist in Sandnes. I told him, “A miracle must have happened to me because now I can see perfectly clearly.” He checked my vision. I had to read letters from a chart. The surprised specialist then said, “You can read all the letters, even the smallest ones! Yes, a great miracle must have occurred here.” I told him that I had contacted you and that you had prayed for me over the phone.

Now I'm back at the lathe in the factory. And now I don't need reading or walking glasses. I can read newspapers and magazines without glasses, even letters and numbers in the phonebook! It is only when I am working on tiny screws that I use my reading glasses. Great precision is required then.
