God keeps us alive so that we do not die prematurely:

Lord, You have brought up my soul from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Psalms 30:3

The Lump Disappeared

Three years ago, doctors at the hospital in Mo i Rana discovered that I had developed a lump on the right side of my neck. It was as large as a grape. They couldn't operate to remove it at the hospital here, but they wanted me to go to the hospital in Bodø to have it operated on. A few days before I left, I called you for prayer. I was afraid it could be cancer. After you prayed for me, I got worse, but the morning I was supposed to leave for Bodø, I was filled with vitality and strength. It was a Monday. At the hospital in Bodø, I was examined by three doctors several days in a row that week. Tests were taken of the tumor. I expected to be operated on the Friday of the same week I arrived at the hospital. On Friday, a doctor came to me and said: “There will be no surgery. We can't operate on your neck because there is no longer any lump there. You can fly home tomorrow.” I was both surprised and happy, for God had heard your prayer and healed me.

I Was on the Brink of Dying from Angina

For four years, I suffered from a severe form of angina. At the worst, I could take up to eight to nine nitro a day. Additionally, I had to use nitrospray, heart pills, and sometimes I also needed oxygen. Sometimes it was critical, and then I had to go to Buskerud Hospital by ambulance. In the year 2000, I was sent to the National Hospital to unblock some arteries. But there, the doctor found that the main artery to the heart was almost blocked. They couldn't operate because the heart wasn't strong enough. The doctors had to drain 22 liters of fluid from my lungs because the heart was so weak. The doctor said that I could die at any time.

I pray for healing…

“Dear Jesus, thank you for the care you have for me who is sick. Thank you for paying for all my illnesses and afflictions on the cross. Therefore, I have the boldness to come to you with my illness, for I know that you do not want me to bear the illness, therefore I ask that you remove the illness and deliver me from evil. The Bible indeed says that ‘He has borne our sorrows.’ Healing is therefore a gift to me that you, Jesus, have already given me when you died on the cross. You who once healed all those who came to you with their sufferings - do it for me as well today. Let the power of your Holy Spirit flow through me, and make me completely well, either immediately or little by little. I stand on your word, wait for your healing, and thank you for wanting to heal me. Thank you for your unlimited grace and love toward me. In Jesus' name, amen.”
