Today, the prophetic word comes to me:
Unjustly rejected.
Perhaps it's time to dust off your feet and move on?
This was Jesus' order to His disciples if they faced resistance in their work (Matthew 10:14–15; Luke 10:10–12). The world needs the Gospel. Wasting time with grumblers and other hindrances in the work is a misuse of time. Many people in other places are waiting for the Word. The Lord says: “Move on and do not look back!”
Perhaps some should leave congregations where you are not received? I do not believe one should just run away every time someone disagrees with oneself. One can then have discussions and find solutions, but where this is not possible, the way out is the only viable way to go.
Jesus was not merciful to places that would not receive His disciples. They were then to say to the people in the town: “Even the dust of your town which clings to our feet we wipe off against you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God has come near to you. I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom on that day than for that town!” (Luke 10:11–12)
Being diplomatic is not always right. Sometimes one must draw a line for talk and spiritual appeasement – and move on in life!
