Gold nuggets
We are "indebted"
We must acknowledge: We are in a spiritual debt crisis. Paul says: "I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and unwise." (Rom 1: 14) That is, non-Jews, "Gentiles." Our main calling is mission and evangelization! Jesus said:
"You shall be my witnesses."
Acts 1:8
"Shall be" – we are obligated to follow his marching orders.
This is one of the church's greatest needs. 95 percent of all Christians have not led a single person to God. We should do something about this – now! What you postpone "until tomorrow" is rarely or never done.
If you find a super plant that can remove all forms of cancer, you would be a great egotist if you do not share your knowledge with the world around you! You have received the gospel. This truth can remove the cancer of sin and give people eternal life. But only if you share it with others. Jesus addressed this spiritual crisis and said:
"The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."
Matt 9:37–38
The church's greatest need: Fishers of men. Do you feel the calling? Do something about it! Paul knew he was "a debtor" to the nations of the world. We should spend time, effort, and money to get the gospel out. If we cannot go ourselves, we should support those who can go. It concerns heaven or hell for millions of people. My prayer is that the Holy Spirit may give us a great concern for the unsaved. Do everything you can to ensure that people are saved!
