Jesus is coming soon

Jesus is coming “soon” (Rev 22:7). This means: He can return at any time. Therefore, we are waiting for Christ and not the Antichrist.

It is a comfort to know that God will “deliver us from the wrath to come” (1 Thess 1:10). This expression refers to the wrath judgments that Revelation describes between chapters 6 and 19, as well as the judgment in hell (Rev 20:15). Therefore, Paul calls the rapture of the church to heaven a “comfort” (1 Thess 4:18). God takes care of His children and takes them to heaven before He sends His wrath upon a godless world.

Paul says that the believers will be “caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” (1 Thess 4:17) Jesus takes us to heaven.

We will escape a seven-year tribulation that will soon come upon the whole world. This happens during Jesus' return to retrieve His bride, His church. You can read more about this in 1 Thessalonians 4:14–18.
