There are some things that can only be learned through pain. Sometimes God allows us to experience trials and suffering to draw us closer to His heart. When we go our own way, we learn through pain that we are on the wrong path and need to turn back. Pain brings us to our senses. 

Other times we suffer because of obedience to our Christian faith and come under attack from the devil. Here the Bible speaks of “your tested faith” (1 Pet 1:7). Receive wisdom from God and accumulate lessons through suffering. It makes us wiser and stronger in faith.
